Back to School

With all the cuts to education and budget cuts Wheatland Elementary closed and Bear River went to a K-8 school. The Kids are happy to go back to school. Chris and Izzy were bummed to have to give up that Jr. High thing but whatever!

Isabella is a big 8th grader this year she is getting so big and making me feel so old. She is also becoming such a beautiful young woman.

Christopher is in 6th grade and has his first year of having a schedule and is so excited about that. He was so cute this morning I got up at 6:15 this morning to already find Chris, Emily, and Mason completely ready for school. (shoes, backpack the whole get up.) Chris is so cute and becoming such a young man and looks forward to turning 12 and getting the priesthood.

Emily is in 4th grade and so excited to have Mr Shaw. Emily looks forward to having a challenge this year and I sure she will with 33 kids in her class. Its hard to believe she is already in 4th grade.

Mason is in 2nd grade. He was super bummed his two best friends were not in his class but is excited about his teacher Mrs. Gasper. She has some really fun things planned for them this year. For example she did a jungle theme and singed up for a pen-pal program in a small village Africa for the kids to write each other. I think Mason will have a really good year.

Fantastic post and very dear to a Grandma's heart. Aimee, I love that you took that picture of them from behind, heading off to school; and the one of them all in the entryway--just like last year's pictures.

So sorry to hear that the school closed and that class sizes are up to 33!!!! That's really awful, all the way around--for the kids and the teacher.

Hooray for the first day of school! I think its great that everyone is so excited to get up and going in the mornings. I have a couple of grumpy bears I have to coax out of bed each morning. Not Andy... Hope all is well. I keep getting updates from Brother Larsen on the new chapel. That's pretty exciting, right? Love, Rebecca
