Back to School 2010

Look out world we have a FRESHMAN!!! Thats right Isabella is now in High School, man there is nothing that makes you feel older then to say my daughter is in H.S.. She is very excited about being a Pirate at Wheatland High.

Christopher is in 7th grade and loving it. He is on the Cross Country team and loves it. I love that he enjoys something I enjoy.

Emily is is 5th grade and has the same teachers that Isabella and Christopher had so that is fun.

Mason the big 3rd grader is so lucky he has the same teacher he had last year and she is AMAZING!

Karlie is doing Preschool at home with me and gets smarter every day.

It is nice to be back in the routine but I do love having my kids home all summer when school starts it is always a bitter sweet.

Yuba City Stake Pioneer Trek 2010

Our Family (Chris,Izzy,Christopher, and I) had the most wonderful opportunity to go on this trek. It was three days and two nights. We got up at 5:30 thurs. morning to go and meet everyone at the stake center and caravan up to tragedy springs where we heard how it received its name. Then to the staging area to find our families and get our handcart. Chris and I were Ma and Pa to 7 wonderful Children who I think I will always love they were great! The first day we trekked 5 miles, were attacked by Indians whole stole my bucket of supplies and one of my kids belts. the best part was when they tried to take one of my girls for the Chief to marry but I sold her as bad meat and saved her. Then we had a wonderful program at our camp.

The second day was filled with challenges. We did a total of 7.5 miles and some of it was hard a lot up hill. The hardest part for me was when they took the Men away for the Mormon Battalion War which left us girls to pull the handcart. The men were away in the distance and watched as the women struggled to make it up by far the steepest hill on the trek. I think it was as hard for some of them to watch us struggle as it was for us to push and pull. It was so hard and we really had to help each other. Just as we were almost to the top and didn't think we could go any further Angels came and lightened our load, and pushed and pulled the rest of the way. What an amazing experience! after we had a 2hr break filled with games and crafts following lunch and the trek back to camp.

The Third day we cleaned camp and had breakfast and set out for our trek back to the staging area. It was a 3 mile trek back but by far the most physical day for those three mile seemed to be all up hill. As we were welcomed by friends and family there was such a sense of accomplishment and love for each other. I was so proud of my kids in my "family" and my real kids. It was an amazing adventure and such a faith and testimony builder I am just so grateful for the opportunity to go and thankfully for a AMAZING friend who watched my other three kids I was able to do it. It was the first time I have ever left Karlie over night and to have it be 2 nights I was worried but they all had fun and a wonderful time I dont think she even missed me so THANK YOU Alisa I love you!

Disneyland!!!!!!

So we just had the most fabulous vacation ever!!!! We took the kids down to Disneyland for a week and had the time of our lives. I have the most AMAZING best friend in the world who made Chris and I a super yummy anniversary cake and put us up in the in the Disney Paradise Pier hotel for two nights and then three nights in the Villa's at the Grand. Let me just say it lives up to its name it was spectacular! Thank you again Lisa and Brian we love you.

The Kids had a blast Karlie's Favorite ride was the Matterhorn and the go go gadget roller coaster. Mason and Emily's favorite was the Matterhorn as well even though it took some coaxing to get Emily on once she went she loved it. They also liked the Grizzly River run in CA Disney oh and you cant forget Soaring over Ca. Christopher was the only one who was brave enough to go on the TOWER OF TERROR with his dad and uncle Brian, poor little guy got so scared he passed out. Christopher's favorite ride was Matterhorn as well. Chris, Emily, and Mason all we in the Jedi training show which was a all time highlight.

Mason got star power for being in the High School Musical show as well which went over big with Jessie from Toy Story. She was cute and and teased Mason that they were in love.

Isabella had a good time and would go off by herself with Emily or one of the other kids for a ride or two. She is becoming such a young woman it scary how fast time goes by. Her favorite ride was also the Matterhorn. The kids were all sad when it was almost over, we told them we would try and come back in two years. Izzy tried to give me a heart attack when she said we can come back in three more years for her eighteenth B-day. Its crazy that in just a few short months she will be fifteen already. Then three more years she is eighteen. Time flies when your having fun I guess.

As for Chris and I our favorite ride was CA Screamin' he finally got me on it the last day we were there and it was soooooo fun I wish I would have done it sooner. Our first two days in the park Lisa and Brian were able to come and be with us it was a lot of fun spending time with them.Sunday the park was open till midnight so they were so sweet and took the kids back to the hotel at nine and Chris and I were able to have a few hours to play alone. We had a amazing time and it could not have been better. Thank you again Lisa and Brian for all you did! it was really fun spending time with you guys too. Here are a few of the 800 pictures I took.
